Lip Sync Battle Final Perfomance!

As the end of summer comes to a close this month one of my best memories of the season had to be my experience on the Carnival Vista Cruise Ship. The Carnival Cruise Ship sails from Miami, Florida and Galveston Texas sailing to breathtaking destinations such as eastern, southern and western Caribbean. This huge ship stands 15 decks high and holds a maximum of 3.936 passengers and crew of 1,450. The ship is Jam packed with activities and entertainment for all ages. As effortful as it is to enjoy everything this ship has to offer it is as challenging to go into detail about everything but here are some highlights and favorites that are sure to get you booking your next vacation with Carnival Vista.

Food:
The food was pretty impressive. With over 20 different places to eat on the ship you don’t have to worry about being hungry. By far one of the most popular places to eat on the ship was Guy’s Burger Joint, which serves up the best tasting burgers with all the toppings. There was always a line at this burger stand created by Guy Fieri an American restaurateur, and author who is widely known for his TV show and appearances on the Food Network. Dinners in the dining room are a divine experience. After a long day at sea or at port enjoying a three-course meal is like no other. With entrĂ©e selection changes daily you will never have to choose from the same things twice. Some of my favorite meals included the roasted duck, jerk chicken wings, prime rib, and scallops. A nice touch to the dinner menu was the rare finds section. The chef always prepared something exotic you always wanted to try but never dared to order. It included foods like frog legs, and cow tongue.

Entertainment:Every night is a party on the Carnival Vista Cruise Ship. The Nightclub parties held in the Limelight Lounge kept party seekers euphoric. The DJ captured the crowd playing today’s hits from around the world. Under the laser lights, I dance the night away with my fellow cruisers until the early morning; easily forgetting I was still on a ship. Every one enjoys a good live production and Playlist Productions provided just that. Held in the Liquid Lounge, a two-story theater, shows are preformed resembling Broadway musicals. Professional dancers, singers, and actors take popular music from then and now mixed with an awesome storyline sound and light system to keep you glued to your seat.  One of my personal favorites was the productions called “Flix” where each scene was based off of a popular movie sound track like The Bodyguard, Armageddon, and the Wizard of Oz to name a few. The top entertainment on the boat for me was the Lip Sync Battle competition, which I was lucky enough to participate in! If you have ever seen the TV series Lip Sync Battle on Spike TV then you pretty much know what to expect. This on board adaption of the hit TV show allows the ship guest to join in on the entertainment fun and become a superstar for the duration of their Carnival Vista experience.  Two lucky guests get to lip sync battle it out to see who is the biggest rock star! In the finale battle the entire ship is invited out to see the top contestants take the stage designed to look just like the TV Show. The fun is even taken up a superstar level with background dancers, costumes, chorography, music, lights, and props!

Activities/Extras: As I said before the ship was jam packed with activities. There is defiantly something for everyone whether you are the athletic type and want join in on basketball, volleyball, or shuffle board games. In addition to the pools guest can spend the day under the sun at the Waterworks water park or the SkyRide where you can pedal above the decks around the entire ship taking in the view of the blue skies and sea. If your one to stay inside and stay cool America’s favorite game bingo and the art auctions were very popular. The casino stayed packed especially on the night most were in doors due to rainy weather. Just like Vegas the casino features blackjack, poker, slots, and much more. My favorite activity was Carnival’s Thrill Theater. This 4-D Theater renders an out of this world experience where each six sense are part of the fun. As you enjoy a 3-D movie this theater puts the viewer in the action. I attend the horror viewing and believe me I felt the bats fly past my feet and squirt of blood as the popular horror movie killer Jason slashed his victims to death.

The Bars: With more the 10 places to grab a drink on the ship guest are sure to never go thirsty.  Guest can choose from specialty bars such as the RedFrog Rum Bar, the Bluelguana Tequila Bar or just take in the ambiance in the Library bar. Uniquely enough the Library Bar is staged to look like a local library stacked with selves of books for enjoyment. As I enjoyed a book and quit time I kept my wine glass full from the various self- serve wine dispensers. The most impressive bar on the ship was the Alchemy Bar. Popular know as the “pharmacy bar” the bartenders wear white lab jackets with pride and if written scribble your drink Rx order on prescription paper replicas. The supreme mixologist created a unique drink like I never tasted before. One of my drinks was even garnished with an onion and it was delicious! No rum and coke or cognac and ginger Ale served; drinks made at this bar are fused with syrups, fruits, vegetables, and top shelf liquor.

Having experienced my second cruise with Carnival Vista it is now holding the top title. With so much to offer I am ready to book my next get away. Hopefully this recap made you excited as me.Until later, Bon Voyage.
